Collection: Country

Country has one of the richest vinyl histories of any American genre. From the early honky-tonk and western swing recordings of the late 1940s through the outlaw era of the 70s, the glossy Nashville sound of the 80s, and the alt-country underground of the 90s, the music left a deep and varied record catalog — much of it pressed in small regional quantities that are now genuinely difficult to find.

Country vinyl records collected here span that full range. Classic country from artists who built the genre, crossover albums that reached pop audiences without losing their roots, and smaller-label releases that captured something the majors weren’t signing at the time. The outlaw country era in particular produced a lot of strong vinyl — recordings that prioritized the performance over the production, and that tend to sound exactly right on a good turntable.

Condition ranges from sealed new stock on reissues to used original pressings with honest grading. Some of the most interesting listings are the ones that are both musically strong and visually distinctive — colored vinyl pressings in a genre not typically associated with them.
